New Shafter Branch

On June 12, 2006 Mission Bank opened its third location in a temporary bank facility on the corner of Lerdo Highway and Beech Street in the City of Shafter The bank has purchased land across the street from the temporary location and will build a permanent bank building, opening in the 2nd quarter of 2008. The Board of Directors and Management of Mission Bank made the decision to open a branch in Shafter because of the substantial growth potential in the City and the surrounding area and the encouragement and support of the community. “Being Shafter’s only locally owned bank influences the way we listen to our customers. It’s our ability to design services around their needs, keeping us accountable to the community at a level much greater than a bank headquartered in some other area or State, says A. J. Antongiovanni, Vice President and Branch Manager”. The branch hired a staff of all local people who know and understand the needs of the customers. Early indications are very promising as the Shafter Branch exceeded $5.0 million in assets at the end of January 2007. Some people ask why being locally owned is important. One reason is because it implies a commitment to the community; we stay attuned to its varied needs. We not only facilitate economic awareness we also provide leadership in community efforts
