Greetings from Mission Bank and welcome to our web site. I
hope you will find Mission Bank's web page to be beneficial and informative.
Mission Bank was founded in the fall of 1998 and opened for business
on October 1, 1998. The bank was the brainchild of some of the most
experienced and creative bankers and business professionals in our
community. Our intent was to create a bank that reflects the unique
needs of our business community. By combining the resources and
services typically associated with larger banks and with an unqualified
commitment to personal service, Mission Bank offers banking solutions
created specifically to help small to medium sized businesses grow
and prosper.
From an original staff of eight, we have steadily grown in numbers
to our present staff of very dedicated employees eager to serve
your banking needs. Our deposit totals have likewise shown impressive
growth from the outset. Mission Bank has recaptured its original
startup costs and has consistently produced acceptable earnings,
increasing the banks capital base, thus enabling us to handle
the banking needs of most small to medium sized businesses in our
marketplace. We are now the second largest independent and locally
owned bank in Kern County.
Through the years we have tried to expand our services to correspond
with the needs of our customers. To accomplish this, we added a
seven-day a week deposit pick-up service and increased our merchant
service area to accommodate larger cash depositors. As our services
have expanded, so have our facilities. The main branch at Truxtun
and L Street downtown has undergone three major add-ons since it
was originally opened in 1998. We also have opened a branch in Greenfield,
serving the south side of Bakersfield, which is considered one of
the fastest growing suburbs in the area.
In addition to having internet banking on our growing list of product
offerings, we continue to look for ways to make banking with Mission
Bank as easy and convenient as possible. This product allows our
customers to gain immediate access to their account information
from the convenience of their home or office computer.
If you are currently a customer of our bank, we sincerely thank
you for your patronage, and hope you will continue to allow us to
serve your banking needs. For those of you who have not yet become
our customer, we invite you to do so. Our mission at Mission Bank
is to be the Bank of First Choice in Bakersfield and the surrounding
areas, and as the consolidation of the mega banks continues, we
